wait if the animotriods have no fungus but do have sombs will they eat zombs

Fun but i cant get the crafting menu to scroll down.

I'm working on an update right now, so I can try and fix this (if it's not fixed already). Can you share a screenshot? Also, what device are you using?

I'm using a Dell touchscreen Chrome Book that's all I know. It doesn't work in full screen mode either in case your wondering since in the screenshot its not in full screen mode. Sorry for late reply.

I'm guessing this doesn't work for you with either touch or trackpad (if you have one)? Anyway, the new update with many control changes to support mobile devices should be out soon!

hey can you please add a setting to turn off zombies? I don’t want to deal with them or to co exsist with them I want them gone. But that’s just me and other peaple like zombies so just make it a setting thing called disable zombies or something. Allso can you add a wether, season, and day/night system? Mabey you can alter the seasons or the huminaty and how long day and night is. Mabey you can add as mutch seasons you want and can change how humid or hot and stuff the seasons are.

Is there a way to stop the Zombs from spawning? they are really annoying and killing off my anims.

It seems you may have accidentally attacked the zombitons! The Vilmonicouncil recommends against this. There are MANY things you can do to deal with the zombs. Check the tool, item, and task descriptions for hints, or get help on the Vilmonic Discord https://discord.gg/vilmonic

Unless you enjoy the chaos of a zomb infestation, or if you are trying to balance a zomb-carnivorous-animatroid ecosystem, don't ever attack the zombitons. If this happens by accident, try playing with them with their favorite toy - spoiler: blow bubbles!  This will quickly calm their swarming instinct.

Toy? do you mean the flags that they drop on the Map occasionally?

Mainly, just don't attack them.

It's hard to tell what I'm supposed to be protecting and what are monsters...

It's your island, protect whatever you want. Start by protecting everything. Or protect the creatures with behaviors or traits you'd like to see more of. There are no "monsters", just life forms.

For some reason I can't craft? Like it says to drag and drop the fungols into the craft menu but when I do that where it looks like I'm supposed to, nothing happens and they just go back to where they were.

Is this ^ where you are dragging items to?

Does your window look something like this? You may have to enlarge your game window (drag the borders), or make it fullscreen, or lower the Interface Pixel Scale in Settings.

You should still be able to drag items to the gray boxes at the bottom of the craft window:
 

Yeah idk bc the next time I played the game it worked just fine so either there was something wrong with the screen before or I just didn't notice them and it was my own fault XD sorry for bothering you and thanks for the help, all's good now!

Weird, your avatar should turn green/gray like a zomb and the view should be all green. 

Yeah that does happen, dont worry. i was mainly talking about the negative consequences. Maybe you should add some (e.g. not being able to control what the character does in-game).

Or simulate the effects of coronavirus XD

Are those red fungols?

Oh yeah. Do you need some?

I've noticed that almost all the creatures on my island have poor sensory perception. based on watching the short life of the one species that did have perfect perception, I think this is because in such a small space, creatures that can see too far can usually see a zomb or other danger, so they're too stressed to breed. does that mirror anyone else's observations?

Interesting! I love trying to figure out how the environmental factors  + anims' physiology create what I'm seeing.

It could also be that in a small island where food is closer, seeing distant isn't worth the cost, since good eyesight uses more energy/nutrients every metabolic cycle. (Eyesight in Vilmonic increases the amount of objects processed by their graph-brains every metabolic cycle.)

You could set up an experiment to test this! Maybe something like this: 

A very horizontal island with fungs on one half, a "wasteland" of stone floor in the middle, and water on the right. This setup seems like it would tend to evolve anims with greater eyesight, so that they could navigate the long distance from food to water. 

Strategic placement of floors and walls can have a surprising effect on evolving certain traits! For instance, sparse placement of obstacles/walls can make it just a bit harder for anims to over-graze, helping fungs to flourish.

The command/windows key being what you use to only select one of an item is very annoying, as every time I press it the start menu of my computer pops up. Otherwise seems pretty good. 

Oh, weird, I'll have to test that...

Hmmm, it's not doing that for me. Holding down the ctrl key and dragging to split-off only one item from a stack does not pop up the start menu. Can you give me more details? You can DM me if you want. - Mark

The task of "Push your animatroid carrier so that it's close to water and fungols." was pretty confusing since I had no idea what it meant by carrier or fungols. Fungols I figured were the growing spore things after pickin one up and looking at the tooltip but it took me a while to figure out that the animatroid carrier meant the shaking box you start close to.

i cant get the full version so i cant craft anything or advance at all :(

I want to like this, but I'm not sure it's for me. Everything seems to move too fast. Maybe I just like to have more control in a game than this provides. I will say that I think the fence gate seems expensive. Surely you want to be able to fence off your different species, and having to destroy a wall to get into the enclosure? Maybe I'm just playing it wrong... 

It's true, the gate recipe does seem too expensive! I'll update that soon. The next updates will make the game harder, as well as add some insight into the artificial biology of the world. One of the core ideas behind Vilmonic, and what's different from many sims, is that you can only manipulate the world from within the world.

* New dungeon walls and floors! They're now the zombs favorite structures.
* Toxic waste is now a crafting material.
* Added tables and chairs.
* Added more avatar body parts.
* You can now analyze zombs (beta).
* More stuff to craft, like the Fungiburger! Plop one on the ground and your anims will eat it up. Or feed one directly to your anims if their health is low. Or eat one yourself if your health is low. Or eat one if you just want a snack.

what does the yellow and the green mushrooms mean on the crafting book on the gate i cant make it without those! tell me what those mean? radioactive sunlight or hot deserty? tell me pls.

You need to put fungs that closely match those colors into those slots. So a gate can only be made with a GREEN fung, a YELLOW fung, and two fiberoyd boards (fences). If you can't find any fungs that match those colors, you will have to wait until some evolve, or try breeding some!

how do i breed plants? i didnt know i could do that!

All of the life forms in Vilmonic reproduce asexually, so to create different breeds you will need to propagate those that have the traits you are looking for. To breed yellow fungs you will have to pick the yellowest of your green fungs and plant them around, continually picking and planting the yellowest of each generation until you finally have yellow fungs. This is essentially artificial selection. You can use a similar technique to generate any color fung. Their colors migrate based on the colors of the rainbow, so red becomes orange becomes yellow - green - blue - purple (indigo) - and back to red.

make a better trailer, it goes something like this...

the dash (-) indicates that it is another script option for the trailer.

the [square brackets] indicate that there will be a big text that covers up the screen in that script.

the {curly brackets} are small text under the big text

or if you want to, you dont have to use the text at all! xD

the _underscores_ mean to play a clip in that script (i will be sending you clips that i'll record soon! once i get the full version...)

the /slash/ means to show the text at that line of script.

hey maybe you can have a machine that changes there genetics? you put the creature in it and change there genetics using points!

you get those points by, destroying there eggs you get 2 points, the eggs never came out yet, but you need to risk some lives to geneticly change the creature...

maybe install a leash

just mushrooms all across!

OOOH! maybe add a plant species log? you know you have the creature species log, why not add one for plants? just incase you get bored waiting for your creature species to evolve in the lite version -_-

What I'm working on right now!

* Eggs and DNA manipulation. Extract DNA from anims, modify it, and inject it into an egg...!
* New beverages, one that makes you super strong, another that attracts anims. Maybe a third that makes anims fertile (kind of forces reproduction).
* More walls and floors and tables and chairs and...
* Possible neural-networks for evolvable "brains".

neural networks is what every evolution game needs! maybe the creature start from gen one neural! learning new food conversatio tactics and can even evolve size and new species with different tactics like nests and ambush! is going to be rlly helpful!
